The Fins and Things 4×4 Trail offers spectacular views of the La Sal Mountains across the sandstone domes of Sand Flats Recreation Area. Drivers should allow 3 hours to complete the 10 miles of steep climbs and even steeper descents, broken up with sandy washes to allow for faster driving.

Sand Flats Recreation Area
After entering the Samdflats Recreation area, our dedicated guide will take you to the Fins and Things 4×4 trail. You will see views of the La Sal Mountains, see parts of the old 1800s mail route, and explore rock crawling as well as high-speed sandy areas.
