Monitor and Merrimac Butte Formations are 2 thin 200 foot tall vertical Entrada Sandstone walls named after the Monitor and Merrimack steamships known for clashing during the Civil War.

Dead Horse Point State Park
Millions of years of geologic activity created the spectacular views from Dead Horse Point State Park.
